Sofie's First Birthday!

Sofie had her first birthday this week!  She is the sweetest most laid back child and we just adore her.  Her brothers are crazy about her!  The boys and I walked into her room on her birthday and started singing to her and we scared her to death!  She cried and cried :( bless her heart!  So at 12 months Sofie is:

• Still nursing 4 times per day (7:30, 12, 4, 7) plus a small bottle before bedtime.  Eats solids like she is starving.  She loves all foods except avocado.  I have to fix that!!!
• Taking 2 naps at 9:30 and 2.  Total nap time is 3-4 hours combined.  Bedtime at 7:30 and sleeps about 11-11.5 hrs.
• She can stand for up to 15-20 seconds on her own and has taken maybe 1 or 2 steps on her own but I would not say she is walking yet.  She has been cruising more now but she has never crawled!
• No teeth yet!!
• Plays peekaboo, claps, waves,  and points to things she wants.
• She says, dada, diaper which sounds like da-ter, hi, and ma.
• She is loving spring and being outside.  She loves going to the ballparks for Lucas's games.  She loves her tree swing in the front yard.
• She is really into playing with nesting bowls like measuring cups and other nesting toys.  I have a stack of papers that I keep on top of a basket in the office.  She ALWAYS goes to it in her walker and plays with the papers and throws them on the floor.  She does this over and over. Watching her play with them never gets old but cleaning them up does!!

On her birthday we took her to the zoo and she loved the elephants, giraffes and REALLY LOVED the carousel.  Too bad riding it makes me sick but my mom can ride it with her!  Here are some pics of the precious girl on her very first birthday!!  Happy Birthday sweet little Sofie!  You are an angel.
