We just took a trip to Jackson Hole, WY with my whole family during the first week of February. We had an absolute blast. This was the kids first time to see real snow....ever. Lucas saw snow when he was 2 here in Houston while it snowed for a couple of hours then melted immediately. But that does not even compare to Jackson snow! Also, this was the boys first time to ski. Lucas took off and never looked back. He loves it. Eli preferred sledding but will probably be very into skiing next time. He was just a bit too young, I think. Jose honed his snowboarding skills and I just sat on the sidelines this time since skiing is a big no no when you are pregnant. The only downside to the trip was that we came down with a nasty stomach virus that got Eli and I. It started with Lily and travelled through the rest of us and by the time Eli got it he was only sick for about 12 hours, if that. We still had a great time. Highlights of the trip:
We took a dinner slight ride trip and ate in a tent along the snake river. Such a cool experience and such beautiful views.
The kids saw a bald eagle, a porcupine, and countless elk and moose. We did not see any bison on this trip....maybe next time.
Lucas really excelled at skiing and finished up as a mid-level 4 skier.
We built a snowman, ate the snow (Eli's favorite), went sledding, made snow angels and of course, had a snowball fight!
Lucas' favorite part was the skiing and Eli loved the sledding although I do believe he ate his body weight in snow!
