Eli is three!!

Wow!  Our baby boy is "fwee" and as precious as ever!  We took Eli to the zoo on his birthday since he absolutely love animals then we had a small family party at home with Nene, Papaw, Lily, Abuela, and Abuela.  It was a great day and Eli had a blast.  His favorite animals were the giraffes and rhinos.  He got animals, dinosaurs, hot wheels airplanes, helicopters, and a batman play set for his birthday.  I made a chocolate cake (Eli's request) and we celebrated our little man turning "fwee"!  Some notable things about Eli are:
  • Eli says "pweese" and "sank you" for everything...always the gentlemen.
  • He always says "I sowee mommy, I not mean to do that" when he does something wrong.
  • He loves animal sets, dinosaurs, airplanes, helicopters and of course the superheros.
  • Eli is potty trained for the most part.  He still has some poopie accidents when he holds it too long or is distracted.
  • Eli has moved from a crib to a big boy bed seamlessly.
  • He is a big boy weighing in at 39 lbs and 39" tall.  He wears 3T-4T easily with the 3T being a little tight in the tummy.
  • His favorite foods are bacon and eggs, avocado, carrots, meatloaf, eggplant strata, baked zucchini sticks, guacamole, hot dogs, bugs in a boat, dates, nuts, larabars, baby oranges, bananas, berries, coconut water, baked chicken legs, broccoli, plantain chips, and papaya.
  • He can say his ABC's perfectly and count to 12!  He knows his colors, animals, and even can remember the names of dinosaurs.
  • He loves to sing his school songs and just grins the whole time he is singing.
  • Favorite TV shows:  M.ickey M.ouse Clubhouse, P.hineas and F.erb, L.ittle E.insteins.  Here is the thing, Eli can't really watch TV because he gets sucked in and thinks he can watch it ALL DAY LONG!  He really only gets to watch 1 show and he usually has a meltdown when its over so we try not to watch it much.
  • He loves to be read to.  We always read for Lucas' homework and Eli loves it.
  • Eli absolutely loves his big brother and can't wait for him to get off the bus in the afternoons.  Eli is also very sweet about baby sister and seems very excited (now) about her arrival.
  • Playtime favorites:  Push toys (carts, cars, etc. and racing around with cousin Lily), puzzles, animals and dinosaurs, coloring and reading.

Eli will play by himself and do his own thing until he needs Jose or I.  He always lets us know when he needs a cuddle, attention, loving, etc.  until then, he is in his own world.  He is very intense and no emotions are hard to read with this one.  His emotions are obvious.  He is very sweet and stubborn.  Oh, and strong. This child is super strong.  Definitely going to be good at contact sports!  We love him so much and are just enamored with this little boy!  We love you Eli!

Feliz cumple número 3 papi, dios me los bendiga. El paseo al zoológico fue una bella experiencia, lo disfrute mucho en su compañía. La torta y regalos, fue un espectáculo de alegría. Los quiero y recuerdo siempre.
