Eli Turns 1 !!!!

Eli is 1 today and man, how the time has flown by. We have enjoyed this child and loved every minute of this first year. At 1 year, this is what Eli is up to:

Cruising all over the place and will stand on his own for 5-10 seconds.

He has 6 teeth now.

Wears a size 5 diaper and 12-18 month clothing.

He loves finger foods and is famous for his grunting and screaming when he needs his snacks...then when he gets them, he shovels them in his mouth with both fists.

He loves to play ball and will mimic Lucas and try to throw the ball. He loves to play catch with himself and will throw the ball then crawl over to it and get it and over and over and over! I think he was trying to say ball the other night and it came out "ba."

He is obsessed with Lily...he gets this giddy grin and laughs when he sees her and says, "beebeebeebee."

He is nursing 3 times a day: when he wakes up, at lunch and at bedtime. I plan to start weaning now that he is 1.

He is going down for 2 naps a day and he goes down by himself with no rocking or coaxing. morning nap is at 10 am and afternoon nap is at 1 or 2.

He loves to clap and point and raise the roof with a big smile on his face.

Says "mamamamama" all the time and often just says "ma."

Excellent sleeper....sleeps 12 hours a night.

Distinguishing traits: sweet, sensitive, scared of strangers, demanding, slightly ornery, loves to entertain (he will keep doing things if I laugh), strong as an ox (i break a sweat just trying to change his diaper).

Eli is such a good kid. He is so sweet and fun. Here are some pictures of Eli on his 1st Birthday!! A birthday party with cake will be a separate post when Daddy gets home from his trip.
