Hiking Manoa Falls.

We all went hiking up to Manoa Falls last Monday. The hike was about 1.5 miles round trip, so not too bad on length but the trail was pretty steep and slippery so we found a walking stick for Lucas to help him balance. He was more concerned with watching that stick go in the mud than where he was putting his feet. In fact, he did not even pay attention to where he was going so we had to drag him through the mud. He loved it. He hiked like a trooper. Here are some photos of our hike. My favorite is the one of Lucas and Jose in the Banyon Tree root cutout. The trees are beautiful up there. The hike is only a couple of miles from Honolulu and is classified as a true rain forest. Lucas kept saying, " I in the jungle!!" This, of course, made "Welcome to the Jungle" stuck in my head all day.
