Eli is 5!!

Eli is 5 years old! Our baby boy!! What a fun 5 years it has been....we love watching him turn into a little boy and develop all of his personality traits... At 5 years old, Eli is:
  • Loves sports...especially Soccer, Basketball, and Baseball.  He talks about Football all of the time so I'm sure he will want to play eventually.
  •  He is a bit of a trouble maker but that is ok because I know his heart is good...
  • The only part of learning at school that Eli is interested in is math and he is really good at that.  Everything else is less than exciting for Eli.  I think he would rather stay home with me every day.
  • Eli is starting to become more independent in that he will dress himself now, he will dry himself off after the bath and he is attempting to tie his shoes...still working on that one!
  • Eli is very popular at school. Everyone wants to play with Eli...he is a clown and gets into some harmless trouble at school while entertaining everyone :-)
  • He loves the color blue and black.
  • His favorite foods are chicken, okra, eggs, hot dogs, bugs in a boat, bananas, and the not so healthy favorite.....vanilla ice cream.
  • Eli still sleeps with his blankey and falls asleep with it covering his nose...he says he likes to smell it...
  • Eli LOVES the Kings of Leon...especially Supersoaker.  He also likes to jam out to Ellie Goulding, Uptown Funk, Turn Down for What?
  • He has had a rough time adjusting to no more naps...it messed up his nighttime sleep for awhile and we had to move his bedtime up to 7pm and that has helped a lot.
  • Eli is right there in that spot where he still likes cartoons and playing with dinosaurs but also likes to play sports like a big boy....I get my baby boy during parts of the day and then he has his moments where he wants his independence...I enjoy those times when he still wants his mommy.

Daddy and I love you Eli....you are a special boy and you are the best little and big brother we know!  We look forward to your next 5 years!!
