All good things must end

As our trip this year comes to and end we are so sad to leave but look forward to our trip next summer!  Here are some of the things I don't want to forget about our time here..
  • Sofie grew 4 teeth in 6 weeks.  She became a pro at walking while in Hawaii.  Even though her first steps were in Houston, she did not really take off until we were here.
  • Lucas learned so surf and paddle on the outrigger canoes.
  • We met Kirk Hammett!
  • Lucas lost a top front tooth.
  • Eli made his first hike up Diamond Head and Lucas made his first hike up Koko Head.
  • Eli discovered snorkeling and LOVES it.
  • The boys are constantly wanting to hear 'whole lotta love' by Zepplin and they know all the words.
  • Sofie dancing to The Beach Boys 'Surfin USA'
  • Sofie LOVING the characters at the Aulani, Goofy and Minnie Mouse.
  • All three of the kids just love the water and being on the beach. They are not afraid of those giant waves.
  • The kids loving the Hawaiian music concerts and the Luau that Nene and Papaw took them to.  Lucas "does not want to miss one."
  • Lucas trying for 30 minutes to make fire at the Luau and eventually made it.
  • The boys first fishing trip.
  • Papaw taking the boys to Pearl Harbor twice and them just loving and learning about WWII.  Eli always talking about "the mightly mo."
  • Eli still obsessing over the zoo, the aquarium, and sea life park, and his favorite animals there which are.........
  • Sofie obsessing over birds...kid can't get enough of them...even the pigeons.
  • We took a pirate ship cruise for the first time and the boys really enjoyed it.  Sofie was fussy and ready to sleep the whole time.
  • Jose and I got not 1, not 2, but 3 date nights while we were here.
  • Sofie has learned to say the following words while here: hot, hat, bird, dog.  bird sounds more like 'bup' but she says it while pointing at all the birds.
  • Lucas' top things that he did here in Hawaii are 1) all of the things involved with the OCC like swimming, surfing, and paddling 2) Pearl Harbor 3)Fishing
  • Eli's top things were 1) Pirate ship 2) Fishing 3) Zoo and Aquarium 4)The mighty MO
