Sofie is 8 months!!

Well, this gorgeous creature is 8 months old today!  Really, this month has been pretty similar to the last month in a lot of ways.

 

• She is still nursing 5 times per day and eating 2 solid meals.  I have been making her baby food so I really don't measure how much she is eating but I would guess about 1/3 to 1/2 a cup at lunch and at dinner.  We have added beets, peaches, blueberries, broccoli, cauliflower and she LOVES to suck on a bone, chicken bones, pork chop bones, you name it.  SHE LOVES BEETS!!!  Like mother, like daughter.  I also let her suck on carrot and celery sticks.
• Sleep is about the same.  Her naps are at 9:30 and 2ish and they are pretty decent 1.5-2 hour naps.
• Still no teeth!!
• She babbles a lot and is just constantly smiling and happy.
• The most chill and laid back baby, ever.  She really goes with the flow and does not fuss much.
• She has figured out how to get her toes in her mouth and bites on her toes a lot which is just adorable.
• She has been getting into toys a little more.  She likes toys that make noise and will belly laugh when I squeeze Sophie the giraffe. 
• She is an expert sitter but shows no real interest in crawling or moving around.  She still only sleeps on her back and has not become a side sleeper yet.  Basically, if she wants to move, she wants someone to do it for her.
• She enjoys the bouncy seat, the walker and the Johnny jump up for about 10 minutes but her favorite thing to do (besides being held) is to sit in the bumbo on the kitchen counter and watch me work!!
