Lucas Turns 5!!

Today was Lucas' 5th Birthday! Daddy is still out of the country on business so we did not have his real party yet. I gave Lucas a whole list of things that we could do on his Birthday ranging from Chuck E. Cheese to the Children's Museum and he chose to go to Galveston on a seashell hunting adventure. So we loaded up with Nene and Papaw and made the drive through the torrential rains and made it to Galveston in time for a good solid hour of sunshine before the next storm came in. It was perfect. Lucas found the biggest shell I have ever seen on a beach...normally I would see those shells for sale in a store. Galveston is not the place to go for beautiful beaches but it is hands down the BEST place to find beautiful shells. We also went to the Rainforest Cafe in Galveston which is the only Rainforest in the country that has a ride...Lucas got to eat whatever he wanted (he chose pepperoni pizza and chocolate cake). Lucas had a great day despite Daddy being gone. We can't wait for him to get home...long 3 week trip. We will celebrate Lucas' Birthday next weekend with a big party with all of his friends. After we drove back home we had Nene, Papaw, Abuelo, Abuela, Emilio, Stacey, Nick and Lily over for takeout and Lucas got to open just a few gifts from them. I did not remember to take any pictures because I was wiped out but we will be sure to get plenty at his party.
