Summertime Cookouts

There is nothing better than summertime cookouts and hanging by the pool. Some of my best childhood memories are cookouts with my cousins (the Perdue's) at the lake (Tenkiller or Quachita). I loved them. I have vivid memories of all of us at the lake and it seems like we went all of the time throughout the summer....I miss doing that. We can't get to the lake very often nowadays so maybe the pool will create some fun memories for Lucas!
We had a cookout at our house last week so here are some pictures from the day. Its already over 100 degrees down here in Houston (this explains why everyone has a pool....you need one to survive the heat!!) Lucas has discovered that his car floats and this is one of his favorite things to do with Daddy....drive the car in the water and go under the fountain where he thinks its a carwash. I've got some photos on here of Stacey and Nick and my Parents. We cooked burgers and hotdogs on the grill and Jose and Nick drank rum and cokes (the typical beachy Venezuelan drink)...the last picture is of my crazy husband staying cool with his chilled beverage.
